Pastor Meadors establish Mt Zion Church in 1925. As the church was just beginning, they mostly just met in members of the congregation's houses. It wasn't until a few years later that they had an actual building to congregate in on Chase Street. In 1961 they moved to Charlevoix Street to a church built by the Watt family. In 1999 Mt Zion made its final move to its current location on Wimberly Drive in Spartanburg, SC where they are now called Mt Zion World Outreach.
